It has been noted in the map and history that San Carlenians or the people of San Carlos City are traditionally called “Amputi Layag” (white ears). This signifies the fearlessness and bravery of the people from the city. According to Maestro Lorencio Bagaforo Jr., San Carlenians are not that fierce, but they are freedom-loving people and born victors and champions.

Henceforth, SAN CARLOS CAMPUS is considered as the 5th campus to be part of the Pangasinan State University system.

Through its continuous pursuits of innovation, faculty, students, and staff consistently unite for the glory of this University. PSU San Carlos Campus continues to move ahead and take lead in achieving excellence in its three key colleges viz: College of Teacher Education, College of Agriculture, and College of Hospitality Management, Business Administration & Computing for the greatest interest and welfare of its community.

Anchored to the University’s immeasurable laurels, PSU San Carlos Campus keeps on garnering acclamation, recognitions, awards, and honors that embody the campus’s humble beginnings up to these days.
