Topnotchers

Perduring hard work betwixt defiance and subversion

A proud graduate of Pangasinan State University, San Carlos City Campus, notched 10th place in Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) on September 25, 2011.

Fidel Anova Castro, 25, a proud graduate of Bachelor of Elementary Education proved that poverty is never a hindrance to excelling in education after notching 10th place in the said licensure examination.

In his testimonial burp just after the release of the examination result, Fidel shared what he hurdled academically and financially just to land on the list of top notchers. He confessed it was really his desire to prove that he could go far.

The prime campus top notcher of PSU-San Carlos City Campus from the Teacher Education course was a consistent dean’s lister and almost landed in the Latin honorees. He also served as a diligent tutor to some youngsters from well-off families in the city.

When asked what advice he could share among the PSUnians he said, “All your dreams will come true through hard work and sacrifice. Don’t get discouraged in your studies and keep your motivation”.

The campus made a niche among the national top notchers and made PSU-SCC students elated especially when Castro was presented in front of faculty, staff, and students, days after the release was published in a national newspaper.

What makes it more inspiring to know about Castro’s success is that he was an assiduous taho vendor that turned into a campus star!

Kudos Maesto Fidel Anova Castro!

Your PSU family is immensely proud of you!
