As PSUnians continue to navigate learning amidst the pandemic, the PSU-SCCC’s College of Teacher Education, headed by Dr. Cristina Lamsen Javier goes hybrid in instruction, especially for the fourth-year students from Technology and Livelihood Education, Social Studies, Filipino, and Elementary Education programs, who are also Practice Teaching Interns, in their Demo-Teaching activity.

Earlier today, Dr. Marie Claire B. Briones (CED) joined the pool of demo-teaching evaluators namely, Dr. Cristina L. Javier (Dean, CTE), Dr. Rea R. Tianson (Prof.Ed Dept. Head), Mr. Ronie B. Soriano (SS Program Chair), Ms. Creleah Menor (PT Coordinator), Mr. Jopet Caguioa, Ms. Kristine Benito, Ms. Maila Macam, Ms. Annilyn M. Ambanloc, Ms. Jill Mendoza, Ms. Alona Zacarias, Pamela Kho, Ms. Marisol Cano, Ms. Gemma De Guzman, and Ms. Caryl Paragas, in the Demo-Teaching activity of the 4th year CTE practice teaching interns transpired at the Arts & Sciences Building and CTE Academic Rooms.

Dr. Javier said that thru blended/hybrid education the CTE faculty members are more inclusive in evaluative teaching as they recognized PTIs in all class modalities and sizes that they want to be seen and heard, to feel they belong in the hybrid class, apart from they want to feel valued during their Demo-Teaching activities.

Meanwhile, Dr. Briones stated the relevance of hybrid learning that synchronously goes on both on-site and remote ways that students are connected and taught synchronously in the campus ‘hybrid classroom’ or ‘hybrid lecture hall’. She also shared the “Teach As You Mean It” approach in demo-teaching which is to always delve, design, deliver, deliberate, and keep moving forward!
