Transcending virtual boundaries, University President Dr. Dexter R. Buted, motivated the entire PSU faculty in the recently concluded University-Wide Virtual Faculty Forum on March 4 via Zoom.
The forum reinforced faculty members across PSU campuses of the reports and other necessary documents for the smooth conduct of their online classes. Prior to this, several virtual conferences were already piloted by University officials in response to address remote education issues and concerns.
Dr. Manolito C. Manuel, VP for Academic Affairs and Support Services along with Dr. Razeale G. Resultay, Director for Curriculum and Instruction, PSU Campus Executive Directors and other University officials were present in the said forum and addressed the following concerns: Status of uploading/submission of grades; Status of online faculty evaluation; Status of FLMs preparation; Status of reviewed course syllabi and course guides; Concerns raised during the conducted students forum; Monitoring of online and modular classes; 2021 CONVERGE: Connecting with the Students through Virtual Conversations and Engagements; Alumni Spotlight; Faculty work arrangement and other academic issues and concerns.
Furthermore, upcoming activities proposed by Prof. Celeste T. Mercado, Director for Student Services and Alumni Affairs such as Alumni Spotlight, Shout Out, and Vital Source were also tackled.
With the involvement of every faculty members and active discussion for the resolution of problems revolving around remote learning, the administration is doing its best to ensure quality education and service delivery despite setbacks.
