PSU-SCC has been granted the Safety Seal Certification, yesterday, April 11, 2022, at the Campus Flagpole area joined by the campus officials, teaching, and non-teaching workforce. The SS Certification was adjudged by Mme. Rosario C. Banlaoi (San Carlos City Government Representative) to PSU-SCC which signifies that the Campus is safe to welcome students back to school, leaping more programs opening for limited face-to-face classes.
The certification follows the requirements stipulated in Memorandum Circular No. 2021-053 by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) in coordination with the Department of Health (DOH) Bida ang may Disiplina program.
Prior to the conferment, officials of PSU-SCC headed by Dr. Marie Claire B. Briones (CED) had a consultation meeting with the Local Government Unit of San Carlos City, represented by Hon. Juliano Resuello (Secretary to the Office of the City Mayor) on behalf of Hon. Julier C. Resuello (City Mayor).
During the consultation meeting, Dr. Briones with Dr. Balbina R. Gurierrez, (Dean, CAgriculture) Dr. Cristina L. Javier (Dean, CTE), Dr. Juliet V. Menor (Dean, CHMBAC), Dr. Josephine D. Reyes (BA & OA Program Chairperson), Dr. Marmie R. Poquiz (HM Program Chairperson), Dr. Christian Dela Cruz (IT Program Chairperson), Mr. Reynald D. Gloria (PRPIO/CE Secretary/CFL) and Mr. Chris Mark Aquino (CED Staff & IT Faculty) presented the Campus Plan 2022 comprises on the data percentage of the campus readiness, security, preparedness and safety for the face-to-face class opening this month.
Meanwhile, SCC offices granted Safety Seal Certification viz: Administration Building, College of Teacher Education (CTE), College of Agriculture (COAgri) College of Hospitality Management, Business Administration and Computing (CHMBAC), Students Services and Alumni Affairs, Campus Clinic, Isolation Facility, and Triage Area, Registrar’s Office, Guidance and Admission Testing Center, Arts and Sciences Building, Audio Visual Building, Academic and Laboratory Rooms, Public and Management Information Office.
Into the bargain, security, and safety precaution signages are also visible on the campus through the initiative of the CRM committee.
To boot, PSU-SCC offers a wide array of board and non-board programs videlicet: BEEd, BSE Filipino, Social Sciences, Technology, and Livelihood Education, BS Agriculture, BS Information Technology, BS Hospitality Management, BS Business Administration, and BS Office Administration.
Students from these programs will be welcomed for their limited face-to-face classes on April 25, 2022, at Pangasinan State University San Carlos City Campus.
Moreover, the SCC is the first PSU campus to be adjudged with such national certification in connection to the preparation for limited face-to-face classes amidst pandemonium.
Further, the Pangasinan State University, San Carlos City Campus headed by Dr. Briones and guided by Dr. Dexter R. Buted (University President), and the rest of the university and campus officials extend heartfelt gratitude for the secured partnership on this endeavor in the name of delivering quality education and a haven of learning for all PSUnians.
