San Carlos City, Pangasinan – Mr. Leopoldo Dulay, a US citizen and generous philanthropist, has made a significant contribution to Pangasinan State University (PSU) San Carlos Campus on November 08, 2024 by donating two sets of 100-watt solar lights.

The donation aims to enhance the learning environment by providing sustainable lighting solutions, particularly in areas where electricity access is limited on campus.

PSU-SCC led by Dr. Liza Lanuza-Quimson, expressed gratitude for Dulay’s thoughtful gesture, which not only supports education but also promotes renewable energy initiatives on the campus.

This initiative reflects Dulay’s commitment to elevating community development and environmental sustainability.
The solar lights were officially handed over to the Campus Supply Office, which is led by Mme. Kristine Abuan. The turnover was also attended by Mr. Jayson Valencerina, the Head of Utility Management on campus, and acknowledged by several campus cogis, including Dr. Marmie R. Poquiz, Dean of CHMBAC; Dr. Jennalyn P. Barongan, Head of International Linkages; Dr. Creleah R. Menor, Head of the Social Studies Program; Asst. Prof. Reynald D. Gloria, PRIO Coordinator; and Mme. Geramae Elaine Elguira, General Education Faculty member.

The said solar lights were installed around the campus vicinity to provide lighting at night without any electricity expense, while promoting sustainable energy.
