Celebrating PRIDE month, the Department of Crop Science (DCS) organized the “Madishkarteng LGBTQIA+ Video Contest” to amplify the voices of LGBTQIA+ individuals and promote gender equality within the agriculture sector. Mr. Lander Bera S. Felix, representing Pangasinan State University San Carlos Campus, took center stage with his remarkable entry, securing victory in the Madishkarteng LGBTQIA+ dish garden contest on a national scale. Mr. Felix’s outstanding achievement not only earned him the 2nd place but also the prestigious title of Madlang People’s Bet, along with a prize of 3,000 pesos. His success stands as a beacon of hope, emphasizing the pivotal role of LGBTQIA+ individuals in agriculture and the broader journey toward empowerment and equality. 

Mr. Felix’s triumph signifies not only his individual talents but also the importance of recognizing the LGBTQIA+ community’s contributions within the agricultural sector. His creativity and passion for agriculture, as showcased in his video content, have earned him the admiration and support of his peers and mentors.
