IN THE NEWS: PSU-SCC plays a part in the University-wide Curricular Summit

Sustaining excellence and greater continuity of development, Pangasinan State University – San Carlos City Campus personnel participated in the university-wide curriculum summit organized by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs & Support Services headed by Dr. Manolito C. Manuel alongside the Director for Curriculum and Instruction, Dr. Jessica Jimenez, convened with select college deans and program chairpersons for the review of course syllabi and study guides on March 2019 at the Telesforo N. Boquiren Convention Hall, PSU-Main Campus.

In succor were Dr. Marie Claire B. Briones (Campus Executive Director), Dr. And Julie Rosal (Dean, CHMBAC), Dr. Shirley L. Milanes (BEEd Program Chairperson), Dr. Froilan Soriano (Social Studies Program Chairperson), Dr. Marmie Poquiz (HM Program Chairperson), Dr. Josephine D. Reyes (BA & OA Program Chairperson) and Prof. Jennifer Gangan (BS Agri. Program Chairperson).

As cogitated by  Dr. Greg T. Pawilen of University of the Philippines-Los Baños – Professor, Curriculum Studies & Human and Family Development Studies; Director, Office for Institutional Development in Higher Education, who took Curriculum Review and Enhancement commenced via video conferencing, curricula redesigning build the architecture for education institutions’ relevant and adaptive response to the needs of learners in a fast-paced world highly characterized by ‘unprecedented stresses’ brought by the economic and technological revolution.

The said summit embodies the academic ideals in strengthening PSU-SCC curricula in the field of Business, Management, Education, Technology, and Agriculture.
